Creative Healing for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

In Creative Healing, we believe in that the Universal Creative Force is accessed easily through the intentional use of our minds.  It is easy simply because we are each part of the Whole, uniquely expressing itself as individuals.  I see us each as a cell in the body of God, each having a particular job that only we can do that is integral to the functioning of the whole.

We know that our thoughts create reality and we work to govern our thoughts and make conscious the process of healing and living simply.  I want to be clear that this understanding that we create our own reality, our own health, is not just another way to blame you for being in dis-ease. We create from our whole minds and all its programs, not just what we are conscious of.  We do not create dis-ease at the personality level.  It’s much deeper than that.  We are dealing with the foundations of our beliefs about self-esteem and self-worth; all of the messages, interpretations and decisions we made regarding who we are and what we deserve in the context of the potential power we all have as part of nature.

Our body/mind is a bio-computer. Unfortunately, many of its programs were set prior to conscious choice.  It is said that most of our patterns are set by the time we are three years old, that’s hardly a mature time of life to decide how we will live, what we deserve and how we will interact with others.   The good news about programming is that it can be consciously re-programmed at any time to create a whole new reality.  We can make changes by becoming conscious and choosing.

When you change your perspective you change everything.  If you see your dis-ease as justified punishment for sins committed or failings of personality and lovability, it has a very different message for your self-esteem than if you choose to see your dis-ease as a gift of clear communication from your body about what needs to change in order to live in integrity with your own needs and higher purpose.  The body is what our consciousness created to move around in physical reality.   It knows the blueprint of Soul’s purpose, and carries all the imprints of our experiences and decisions.  Our body is our best friend and deserves to be listened to.  When it asks for comfort, indulge it.

I used to think God had failed us by not providing us with an owner’s operating manual for maintaining perfect health and living joyously.  Then I realized we got that instruction constantly by means of our intuition; our personalized internal guidance system.  I always know when I am tired.  But sometimes my early programs tell me to keep pushing myself because “I’m not good enough as I am”, so I push and push, and then relapse.  In the relapse, I notice that I always get what I needed to begin with…rest.

Most of us treat our cars better than we treat our bodies.  Your needs are real.  They deserve to be well met.

Too many of us had the experience in childhood that there just wasn’t anyone available to meet our needs. As children, we may have translated that to mean we did not deserve loving care.  In that interpretation, we stopped listening to our own needs.  It became easier to ignore our own needs rather than experience the disappointment or rejection from another.  When we also experience the various forms of abuse, the imprinted information about negative esteem goes deeper and wider.

When our needs are negated in early life, it creates Co-dependency in the personality structure.  To my way of thinking, Co-dependency is simply a symptom of immaturity and lack of appropriate training in being a healthy adult.  In Co-dependency, we give up what we want or need in order to serve another’s needs, in the hope that they may be able to take care of us later…if we’re good enough.

Another important aspect of Co-dependency is a lack of appropriate boundaries…we really don’t know where we begin and another ends.  Their needs seem like ours because they are more important.  That has big consequences on many levels.  Our immune system is analogous to our boundaries…it determines “what is me and what’s not me”.  In many auto-immune and immune deficiency diseases, our bodies do not know what to protect us from.  Sometimes we have such poor boundaries, that we are hypersensitive to everything, as in multiple allergies.   We can’t protect ourselves without having a container for our energy.  We spill our energy everywhere and leave bits of ourselves with everything we are concerned about.

I believe thatCFSis a disease of Co-dependency…we have given our energy to other things rather than our own needs because of our beliefs based on early decisions.  We regularly deplete our life force for things external to ourselves and may feel victimized that we served so well and still can’t get anyone to take care of us.

We eventually collapse into the necessity of serving ourselves first if we are to survive at all.  When we can come to understand that our symptoms are a gift of guidance from the Self/Spirit, and tend to our needs with an attitude of gratitude, we will automatically begin to drop our “Victim Stance” in the world and know our value.  It is sad that we didn’t get what we needed and deserved as children, but the time is past, as adults, when we can expect another to make up for our childhood losses…we must become our own best nurturing parent.

CFShas been my best teacher about coming into wholeness.  My symptoms always tell me when I have gone too far from what I want and need.  And the need to revive always gets my needs met.  I may not like that I have to stop and take care of me and learn to be Self-ish.  But it does work.  I find that I really like doing what I need.  Self care is fun.  And it works.  I can get my energy back by doing whatever the “soft animal of myself” wants.

Wild Geese

You do not have to be good.

You do not have to walk on your knees

for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.

You only have to let the soft animal of your body

love what it loves.

Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.

Meanwhile the world goes on.

Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain

are moving across the landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees,

the mountains and the rivers.

Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,

are heading home again.

Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,

the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting-

over and over announcing your place

in the family of things.”                       Mary Oliver

As we begin to see that we can have healing and we deserve it, applying loving treatments to the physical aspects of the dis-ease can speed our recovery.  Circulation of blood, lymph and nerve can be improved greatly and increase the Life Force flowing in our bodies.  The Body knows how to heal itself.  It was designed to repair, maintain and keep going.  Sometimes, functions get blocked by congestion coming from emotional or physical trauma.  In Creative Healing, specific hand movements are used to re-establish the flow of Life Force by creating a vacuum along the lines of flow, breaking up congestion, re-positioning the substance of the body like the clay that it is, and bringing the tissues to normal temperature.

Intention is a key to Creative Healing as we focus our creative mind on our trust in the natural healing ability of the body, and “see” the being in wholeness as we apply the specific hand movements to make manifest our thoughts, our prayers, for healing.

Much of Creative Healing can be self-administered, the hand motions and the intention a part of your daily self-care routine.  The symptoms ofCFS   and Fibromyalgia tell us that the constitution, circulation, and digestion are in need of clearing.  We use the General treatment first to encourage relaxation and circulation from the head to the body: paying particular attention to breaking up and vacuuming congestion from the “master glands of the constitutional health” at the base of the skull, and the soft triangular “filter areas” defined by the clavicle, neck and the edge at the top of the shoulder muscles.  We would also release tension in the shoulders, upper back and neck.

We then treat the spine to insure proper nerve life flowing from the brain, down the cord, and into the nerve roots exiting the spine.  We break up congestion in the Circulation points on wrists and ankles, and do the heart treatment to increase blood circulation in and from the heart.  Many people withCFShave a tendency for heart murmurs, if you do, then perhaps a thyroid & heart treatment is also in order.

WithCFS, we do not digest and metabolize well.  Some of us are missing some of the liver enyzmes.  Our Digestive Tune-up helps the stomach, liver, gall bladder, pancreas and intestines function better.  The liver must be treated very gently, as this treatment is a miracle at releasing the stored toxins.  Releasing only a little at a time is easier to handle.  InCFS, the body is very full of toxicity, both physical, chemical, and emotional.  Any cleansing can cause us to feel more ill as the toxins are released.  We may also experience huge emotional storms as what has been blocking our tissues is released.

To further improve immune functioning, we would also treat the spleen to gently bring more blood supply through the organ and more nerve life to it.  Treating the kidneys and adrenals is usually called for also.

For areas of joint and muscle pain, specific treatment is given as the symptoms indicate.

Freeing the mind of misinformation, reprogramming your thoughts to your higher good, releasing toxins from the physical body, clearing the emotional patterns; all are integral to your healing process.  You are in charge.

Come explore what Creative Healing can do for your well-being.
