Detoxifying Foot Bath:  Brew one-two bags of  Earl Grey Tea (Bergamont is the special healing herb in this blend) in a cup of boiling water for 10 minutes, then add to a basin of warm water and soak feet for 20 minutes to help the kidney’s detoxify, and to draw out pain & toxins from the lower body.  Repeat three times a week.

Mineral Rich Broth:  Use a combination of vegetables, add a handful of seaweed and flax seeds, herbs to flavor, and cover with a few inches of water.  Bring to a boil, then simmer for several hours with the lid on.  Add Dr. Bronner’s Balanced Mineral-Bouillon and/or Bragg Liquid Aminos just before either straining the liquid for a broth or blending vegetables  for a cream soup.  Miso and/or tofu can be added for protein.

Protein Energy Booster:  Grind (coffer grinder works well) equal parts of sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, & almonds.  Mix with honey and bee pollen to make a palatable paste that can be eaten by the spoonful or put on bread or crackers.

Bath for Relaxation:  Use 1 cup of Queen Helene’s herbal bath powder, or a few drops of lavender oil.

Cleansing Bath:  Add one cup each of baking soda & sea salt to bath water to cleanse your energy field of outside influences as well as helping the body discharge toxins through the skin by osmosis.  In the shower, you can use a salt-glow product or mix salt and almond oil to scrub onto skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar: For joint pains, digestive upsets, kidney, urinary, and prostate improvement, take 1 tbs. daily in water, or tablets are also available.  For bladder infection, use several times a day.  This changes us from an acidic to an alkaline environment which reduces pain anywhere in the body.  For specific joints, soak brown paper bag paper with vinegar and wrap sore joint in soaked paper and plastic wrap. vitacost.com has 1.5gm tablets

 Liver Flush: Start the day with the juice of 1/2 lemon, a clove of crushed garlic, water and honey to taste.  Follow with a sprig of parsley 1/2 hour later to de-odorize garlic.

Milk Weed Thistle is a wonderful liver cleansing and regenerative herb.

Aloe Vera:  Juice; 1 oz daily, increase slowly to 4 oz daily for 3 months to cleanse and re-build bowel health.  Add 1 tbs. liquid chlorophyll & 3 tbs. ground flax seeds. Capsules available that have aloe and chlorophyll for easier ingestion.

Water: The Mayo Clinic suggests taking the number that is half your weight in pounds as the number of ounces needed daily to keep you well hydrated.

Baking Soda:  ½ Tsp. In warm water for indigestion and/or colds to Alkalize the system.  All conditions of pain and illness are acidic.

Eno Fruit Salts:  a remedy for indigestion and acidic condition re-balancing.  You can find it in Indian Markets or on line under Auyuvedic medicinal remedies.

Alfalfa: contains good amounts of minerals, is easily absorbed, highest natural source of Vitamin K

Garlic: Blood cleanser, anti-parasite

Saw Palmetto: urinary system support, prevention of prostate problems.

Tea Tree Oil:  topical application anti-fungal, antibacterial for skin problems.

Chamomile:  tranquilizer, calms stomach

Ginseng: Builds and stabilizes energy.

Licorice: general healer, best in combination with other herbs, calms stomach.

 Foods for Relaxation:  Focus on low protein, fat-free carbohydrates such as baked potato with salsa, bagel with jam, oatmeal with brown sugar, pasta with tomato sauce, pretzels.
